T hink of Ed Stafford as the inverse of Bear Grylls. Although they share an enormous amount in common — fortysomething former servicemen who found new lives performing feats of adventure rather beyond the realms of common sense — he presents a very different face to camera. You see that most clearly on Naked and Marooned, the show documenting the 60 days he spent alone on the Pacific island of Olorua infilming himself as he struggled to survive.
Bear Grylls may have already been outted as a fraud — his Man vs. Wild show on the Discovery Channel is less about him surviving nature as it is him surviving luxury hotel accommodations in between shots — but who knew the man looked so good doing push ups, naked, on the ice? The man likes to take his clothes off.

To fool people into believing you are doing something amazing and spectacular when you are not.
Bear might be used to surviving in the wilderness but it was a text that nearly undid him. The TV adventurer has revealed that he once accidentally bared all in a text to showbiz buddy Dermot O'Leary. By Beth Stebner. A Discovery Channel spokesperson told the Hollywood Reporter exclusively that they have ended their relationship with the wilderness guru. Natural selection: Bear Grylls and Discovery Channel no longer have a working relationship, a source said.
Man vs. The series was produced by British television production company Diverse Bristol. The show was first broadcast on 10 November after airing a pilot episode titled "The Rockies" on 10 March
The news that reality TV is frequently faked shouldn't come as a surprise. But given that Bear Grylls is an outdoor expert who survived a massive fall while in the British Special Forces, climbed Mt. Everest before he was 25, and traversed the North Atlantic in an inflatable raft, he might get the benefit of the doubt. So, is Bear Grylls a fake, or are all those Man vs.
